You could have the track watered, teams would be there, but start hot laps at 8, then time trials, then run off the races. Possibly not as many support classes.

Im the type that feels I get my monies worth out of 4 sprint heats, a B and and A feature and done. If the whole event last 2 hours, great!

You can advertise as a "green" race track, quite modernistic.
The problem with starting at 8 down here is that they still run ALL of the support classes and are as lazy about starting at 8 as they are when they are supposed to start at 7. Heck there are time when we are supposed to start at 7 and don't throw the first green until after 8.
