I think it's a classy move for the folks who work at the track. They may not feel like they have a choice to go or not.
Fans, drivers & crews definitely have a choice of whether not to attend. Just because a track is open doesn't mean you HAVE to go. Everyone needs to use common sense as they make decisions on what to do during this awful heat wave.
