In regards to open trailers, big rigs and enclosed trailers are nice but i think they may be hurting the local tracks. Two years ago, after selling our rig, we had to barrow an open trailer for the last three weeks of season. We always stop at BP station on 50 for ice and other items. when we had rig no one ever asked anything about what we were doing, but with the car on open trailer, every week we had people and kids wanting to look into the car. They would ask questions like what kind of race car is this and where do you race at ?? these were people who live less than 20 miles from the track !! We even saw one of the families at the track a week later. in the old days these cars were being seen on the road every week and the stands were always full. every open trailer rig is a benefit to the sport.
