A good night of racing at Gas City this evening. 22 sprint cars checked in and provided good racing throughout the program. They did run the thundercar feature first that helpd smooth out the track. They didn't touch the track once racing began.
T-mez had a good run from the back in his heat race. With three heats they took the top 5 from each. Not quite sure why they ran a B-Main once the Wee 3 car scratched. That left 21 cars and after they ran the B they still took all 21 cars to the feature.
The track was racey with both a bottom groove and one up on the top shelf. Sciscoe after winning the third heat was the early leader on the bottom. Justin Grant went out front by running the cushion. Lap 14 brought a halt to the action as Corey Smith took a big time ride (flight?) going into turn 1. The safety crew got him out and they transported him to the hospital. Hope everything checks out okay.
When action resumed it was Grant back to the top and Sciscoe still on the bottom. Jon was able to wrestle the lead back away from Justin with less than a hand full of laps remaining. He had it prior to that a couple of times but the yellow flag

came out and cancelled that out.
Grant had to settle for second place after some tough luck last night at Putnamville. Andrew Elson came home 3rd, followed by Puterbaugh (from way back in 15th starting position) and T-Mez. Scotty Weir salvaged a 6th place finish after missing the transfer in his heat and having to run the B-Main.
Not quite sure why but a smaller than usual crowd on hand this evening. A lot of the regular IOW crowd was MIA. Must be saving that money for midget week.
