Bill, I remember hearing a tale about a guy getting his 4-wheeler hooked on either a Crown car, Or Sprint, he had a tire mounted on the front, and the guy in the race car didn't know it, til he finally launched him in the first turn, where ever it was, they stopped using quads to start the cars, and probably not a hard decision to make, either.
