JMHO, but you may be surprised at the results you get from this "adjustment", and it'll be interesting to hear what you find. I build all my cars, with the ladder tabs vertical, the top and bottom tabs on the chassis are different lengths, which keeps the ladder level, in the horizontal plane. Your tabs must be the same length, whick makes them angle out, at the top, and makes the ladder angle up, which should make it loose, and bringing it down on the birdcage, to a more level angle, should make it tighter.
