When I started this thread, it was to find out if any owners, or drivers, had such a safety addition to their cage, I've seen them, and what I was wondering, did they feel it was effective, and was it a big deal, getting in and out with it on there, also was hoping one of the insurance peddlers would have an opinon. Well the issue is where to stop adding safety bars on the cars. Not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just saying that is why their is a rule for height between helmet and cage. I know many don't even acknowledge it but we do have one. I've seen many guys with 2-3 inchs of clearence and I dont believe that's safe. However 6-8 seems pretty safe, not guaranteed but alot safer. What stops someones drag link from getting impaling you. Or your own nerf coming inside with you..???

Racing is dangerous.
