Not sure about running it in a race car but it sure is a better option than ethanol for the street. There is a tremendous amount of it in this country, its clean burning and presently its cheap mainly because the government doesn't have their hands in it yet. If I'm not mistaken I think many of the government hand outs for ethanol ended in December 2011 which will also make CNG a more viable option.
