Proudly announcing the return of The 66 Mike Phillips Memorial for 2012, back by popular demand! The Second Annual 66 features the same $35,000 Total Feature Purse as before starting with $10,000 to win, all the way back to $500 just to start the 24 car A Main! The race returns to the highly renowned high banks of Southern Illinois Raceway's 1/8th mile bullring prepped at the hands of, none other than, the famous and talented Randy Jones! POWRi will, once again, be organizing and officiating this spectacular event, ensuring another smoothly ran weekend. To expand on this great race and make the trip more worth while for the racers with the long hauls, The 66 will be adding Thursday as another, optional, Preliminary night, pushing practice back to Wednesday. Again, Thursday is not mandatory for anyone, as long as every drivers runs at least one of the Preliminary nights, although they may run both if they prefer. 4 drivers will be locked in from each Preliminary night feature into Saturday's Main Event.
