Another great night of midget racing at the Mini Mile in DuQuoin. I am so thankful that this facility was built. The track prep was very good and the folks from POWRI do a great job of hosting a race. Jim Childers is always very informative on the PA and gives you enough information so all of the fans can keep up without getting carried away. Even with the delay due to having to fixing the entry gate, the racing program was still moved along in fine fashion.
For those of you who missed this show, you really need to consider being there anytime POWRI races at DuQuoin. I mentioned to some folks sitting around us last night that I still can't believe they built this arena in DuQuoin. How that money was appropriated by the State of Illinois here rather than Springfield is beyond me. So glad that they were able to get this accomplished.
The video pretty much says it all. Great job by SuperFan. For all of you midget fans out there, get off of the couch and take a trip for a great race at this indoor facility. If after watching the video you still aren't convinced, I doubt you are much of a midget fan.
Congratulations to Bryan and Thomas for a thrilling display of driving. They went after each other hard and yet they didn't tear up any equipment and hugged and shook hands afterwards. Great sportsmanship by both young men.
Other fine rides as well with Chet coming home in third. I felt sorry for Austin Brown as he had a great run going until near the end when he lost power and stopped on the track. Glad also to hear that Rich Camfield was okay after the throttle stuck and sent him into the entry gate. That could have been so much worse.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
