That is scary right there, most of the 4-H people are clueless about running a business the size of a fairgrounds. My personal experience with our local board- I was asked to speak to them by our local newspaper about the possibility of building a multi purpose race track with their new fairgrounds when they build it. I presented the aproximate initial investment, the profit potential the fairgrounds would have and the positive economic impact it would have on the local business'. They listened intently and when I was through talked among themselves. The unanimous decision was a racetrack would "take away" from the 4-H fair they hold for 10 days every year.
So "providing the best environment for the 4-H'ers" might mean nice, new buildings and no racetrack to take away from the fair.
Lets hope not!
