I talked at length, this evening, with a board officer. One that's been on the board for many years. He said that there are two camps. But the "do not sell" camp still has a decent majority on the "sell" guys. And probably will for the forseeable future. But make no mistake about it, the balance is shifting. So, eventually, this will become a reality. The good news is that the board elections only happen once a year or when a board member keels over or something.
The good news is that the King/Dorsett/Hamilton group is confident they can turn the place around within three years. If they can do that, before the balance tips to the dark side and they can show a positive economic impact, maybe they can buy some more time.
In the mean time, whether it be petitions, calls or whatever, letting these guys know what kind of support the track has, can't hurt. Most are detached from racing, somewhat and might not even know, otherwise.
