Not common (and off topic) for me to defend Jerry but it's been a rule for as long as we've been running with the AMSA.....it's in bold, red print in the rulebook.
Only A.M.S.A. members are eligible for the points fund awarded at the annual banquet. To receive points fund money, YOU MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE BANQUET.
