Back about 3 years ago somebody got to Jerry Tague at AMSA and blew a bunch of smoke about 30 hp gain for alky. I suspect it was probably his dyno guy, he also learned that the zx12 was some sort of monster motor, so Jerry trying to make things fare for his racers outlawed the zx12 and developed his weight limits for alky vs gasoline. Bill May followed Jerry's lead and did the MMSA rules to keep things equal.
In the light of these dyno sheets and general hell that has been raised in recent months I think re-thinking is in order for all groups.
MMSA is having a banquet and meeting this Sunday come on over.
I think just in the light of safety and engine life alky is far better fuel than gasoline and converting over does not have to be that expensive with our electronic injectors. Probably get by with 4 new 60 lb injectors about 75.00 each machine throttle bodies for the new injectors, a new fuel rail, and fuel filter with 50 micron or smaller ss element in it. I would hope you already have an old ford van fuel pump and a fuel pres regulator and dynojet. With alky you can do a lot of your map by changing fuel pres settings. and do without the dynojet, Close enough for government work but not spot on.
Now how about my left nerf bar rule?
what is a "sheeple" ?
