I am not trying to defend WoO/WMG, and I know it's popular to bash them, but it seems there are some obvious facts people are missing.
Mr. Sides can race wherever he wants, whenever he wants. The WoO has rules that he can choose to abide by or tell them to jump off a cliff. How is this different from telling a track you won't run their tire, spec fuel, or engine size but still want to be paid for the win?
From what little I know about the law (cough, cough), nobody forced Mr. Sides to agree to WoO rules for their points fund, travel money or contingency dollars at the start of the season. He obviously knew what the rules were if he even had to ask for permission. If he wants to participate in the up side ($$$), he has to play by their rules. Right?
