Excellent race, the track stayed racy, hope they come back next year. I'm not sure what running order USAC live had, but with 6 laps to go I saw the following: #50-Spencer (his tire must have sealed over or something), #71-Gardner, #7-BC, #72-Ballou, #5-Windom, #35-Hunter, #20-Levi. A friend of mine talked to Stevie Sussex after the race and he said his wreck was caused by the fact that his engine blew. Not good when suddenly slow in front of charging cars. Hated to see it since he had been running a very good race.
