My shaky memory told me that he stayed inside the track and that the accident occurred in turn 3 when he
and Don Nordhorn tangled** and ended about midway between 3 and 4. My ex-wife was about 7 months pregnant with our first child and was a big fan (hey! they all are
big fans at 7 months pregnant) of Bigelow. She was close to spazzing out when that crash happened, and I told her later that she was "parked" until after she had the baby.
Well, I didn't want to have my fuzzy old memory to help me get my foot into my mouth (again) on IOW, so I dug out my DVD of Dick Wallen's "Gary And Larry Show #2" to confirm my recollections of the crash.
Sorry, Marv. If I ever get to the 'Burg again, I suppose that I'll not be welcomed in Section A.
** I did NOT recall that Nordhorn detail -- I just now watched it about 3 times on the DVD.
