Sorry if this story didn't fit your picture of a USAC racer that you have known, but I thought it would be of interest to the group.
Maybe not the Michael Lewis you thought it was, but give him some credit for being a former 1/4 Midget and USAC Focus Midget driver who has gone on to do well in Europe.
