They should have finished the race. I know it might have been hard for some, but the drivers should have decided to finish the race. All of the old timers I know, agree with this sentiment. They were loosing a brother a week. You can't let a tragedy like that win. As a driver, you need to show death who's boss. Get in that car and race! Once you become afraid, its there forever.
I wondered about that as the delay wore on. Whether or not they would run the rest of the race. I have never seen a group look so shell shocked as the teams and drivers did after the crash. I honestly don't know how they could have pulled it together to finish the race. The carnage that was shown on one of the in car cameras as they came around to the crash scene was like nothing I have ever seen before. I think they did the right thing by stopping the race then, and the fans showed a lot of class in the actions that I could observe.
