According to the info I'm getting, the Specific Gravity is really close, the electronic meter I have, would detect it, but a hydrometer probably wouldn't, but an easy way to tell, besides drinking a glass of each, which in this case, one would stagger a bit, the other would lay on the ground, till he was taken to a morgue, ethanol has a stickyness when it evaporates, whereas methanol, unless it has a lot of water in it, will not. And, there is a slight difference in the "clarity" of it, and it almost smells like cider, and has a slight tint to it. Bob!
