I think the fact that it's a multi-day show is a huge help for it. With economic conditions the way they are, SOME race fans may not be willing to drive far to see a big ONE night show, but if they can go and find a place to stay close to the track, they may load up and go.
I also think track location has a huge factor to play in this one as well. There are plenty of hotels close by the track and plenty of room for those that choose to camp. You're also extremely close to downtown St. Louis which gives folks something to do during the days between races.
All in all, this event has a whole lot more going for it than against it! Well done USAC and Tri-City Speedway!
