I don't think this is limited to Florida and a Florida law only. From what I understand (and that is sketchy at best), this is federal law. So this will apply to Indiana as well. GVW up to 10,000 lbs., DOT inspection and DOT numbers on vehicle, if vehicle is 26,000 lbs. GVW, a CDL is required, drug screen, log book, all required DOT stuff. Then throw in racers are FOR HIRE and doing it as a business. If stopped, your vehicle can be impounded. I read on another site where a guy was stopped, with an open trailer and forced to leave his car, tools, everything on/in the trailer at a weigh station along the interstate, nice.
