In fairness to Darron, some drivers work much better with certain types of cars or setups. Certianly it was shown tonite tha the Hoffmans car is capable of winning. And really I don't think anyone was disputing that.

A coil front/sway bar car handles much differently than a 4 bar car. I think that Darrons results in the Hoffmans ride would have been much better if they had used the 4 bar car like he offered. Im fairly certain that for most or all of his career he's ran a 4 bar car. Darron would have probably ran much better in equipent that he was comfortable with.

The coil/swaybar cars run almost half as much stagger than a 4 bar. The swaybar cars have a tendency to drive hard off of the left rear and push up towards the outside walls coming off of the turns. After having the car come off the corner the same way for nearly a decade as it was in Darrons case, it had to be frustrating to adapt to the car doing something completely different.

Some drivers can hop in any car and win, and that's great. But some drivers can dominate in equipment they're comfortable in.
