Is it because they've had enough automotive related companies coming to town and taking opportunity for financial gain which has ultimately stifled innovation in racing (not just the local tracks, the bigguns, too)? I dunno, just a thought. You might not realize it, but these tracks around here are still alive because of a community of racers that weren't afraid to speak out when people try to make a buck off of what they risk their safety and lives to do. There seems to be some people around here who are more concerned with 'bottom lines' than going fast. Who do you want building or driving your car? Somebody who wants to go fast or somebody that wants to line their pocket? What do the fans want to see, accountants or racers? You can't have your cake and eat it too.
