I like the idea of everyones tire being the same compond... back when USAC was open tire we had Hoosier d10, d12, and d15 mounted at all times... we also ran American Racers MC2's alot!.....It costs much more to have all the options in your tire rack than just one...

I think Hoosier, American Racer, and Goodyear should all be aloud in any Series/ Track if they can all make a tire that "durometer" the same....This will make for price competition between them and make it so there are 3 companies able to help the racer and not just one... People are going to 'prep' tires and spend money doing it.... If the racetracks would just check everyone before and after a race it would solve alot of this CHEATING....JMO
