I wasn't there so I didn't see what happened, but:

A. Cones should always be used. Much easier for the drivers to see a cone on the ground than a flagstand above them. Especially on a car with a wing.

B. If you are going to wave-off a start you better get the yellow lights on ASAP. As someone else mentioned, it's hard for the drivers to see the flagman when you are starting in the middle of the field. You are looking at a huge pile-up if the leaders stop because they see the yellow flag and no one else does because they can't see it.

I do have a question regarding bad re-starts at Waynesfield, why are some waved off and re-done while others are allowed to continue and the driver docked after the race rather than during?

A couple of weeks ago Broughton jumped the restart with 1 to go. It was waved off and he was moved to third. Then the race was re-started again. Is there a track rule for when to re-do a bad re-start and when not to?
