Jonathon, thanks for the barcode items. I never knew there was a designation for the country of origin. I will be on the lookout when shopping. And yes, you are right. We shouldn't rely on Washington but take the initiative ourselves.
My new years resolution (actiually started Dec. 28) is to make an effort to buy things made in the USA. I haven't always been successful but I'm trying. Last week I had to give in and buy Chinese starters for a flourescent light because American made starters are no where to be found.

But I am amazed at the things that are made an the USA while shopping, even at places like Dollar Tree.
Blue Jeans still honk me off. An All-American originated product that Levis, Lees and Wrangler now shifted their manufacturing out of the country. There are still blue jeans that are manufactured in the USA and they will get my business when the time comes.
