If some of the experts have ever left the state of Indiana they may know a few things about racing and marketing. I will usually try to attend and follow through social media USAC, WoO, UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, ALMS, ARCA, FAST, Must See, HOSS, Auto Value Super Sprints, ISMA, MSA, SOD, ESS, CRA Super Series, Dirt Big Block Modifieds and probably several local unsanctioned shows every season. I'm not trying to say I know anything, I just happen to live in an area without a lot of racing and have to travel (and am fortunate to be able to do that). My point is you see a lot of different things and notice a lot of different things.

In this day and age someone else is gonna tweet it. A real race fan isn't going to get that same rush reading on a laptop what the sight, sound and smell of a real racetrack will give you. We live in a very different time then even a few years ago. What they should be doing is promotions, where if you retweet a message you are entered in a draw to win free tickets or a pit pass, or maybe a signed piece of memorabilia from the event. That way their followers retweet it and advertise an event for free. It gets viral, it's very interactive. They get more followers (because people love free stuff), and spread the word.
