This is one of those things that I thought would never happen. The Auto Value Super Sprints tested there some time ago and when they didn’t get a date, I thought it would never happen. I was always told that the management at Bristol thought the sprint cars were too fast and someone would get hurt. I know Jason Blonde set the record there recently (I see it’s on Speed again today), but I don’t think it’s that much faster than Winchester. I think Bristol might be just a touch bigger. Just like Winchester and Salem, the drivers will have to respect the track.
Kudos to Jim Hanks for getting this done. This will definitely qualify as a “Must See” event.
