Thats awesome, I've been lucky enough to have a couple storys published by major hunting magazines and I know it isnt easy to get published. God I got some good storys during the days before wings, and seen the transformation to wings. Even though you go faster and had to do it to compete alot of guys hated having to do it. Also I was there when the first weld and grant king modifieds arrived, and I knew the golden age of modifieds was over, and the cookie cutter age had arrived. I wonder if some of you guys and gals understand how lucky you are to have nonwinged sprintcar tracks. I have never been to, but if someday if I can I'm dying to see a race at Kokomo, I know it'll have the same vibe that flemington in Jersey had before it was paved. There was a time when the modifieds at flemington only weighted 1400lbs or so and had injected big block's there were a couple guys that could run laps without liftin and man they flew., god I miss it ! Its something you cant explain, the feeling you get when your at a special place watchin real race cars. Anyhow I'm rambling on some, if stuff like that interests you pm me.
