Alright, today I was finally able to finalize our relief efforts, I had counted our collections twice - totaling $4055.73 - hand counting it twice, I came within $1.17 of the total amount. So, after that was through I headed on to the local chapter of the Red Cross (Old Northwest Territory Chapter), and cut them a check for an even $4100 on behalf of the Indiana Racing Community.
I gotta say it was really up lifting finally put the money in the hands of those who can distribute it accordingly, it was designated for local relief efforts here in the state of Indiana, as well as the relief efforts on through the midwestern and southern states.
I left the office with a Red Cross letterhead featuring a copy of the check and a smile on my face. I think at this point in time everyone else out there in our community should do the same, because you all made this possible.
