Your opinion is your opinion, but it still puzzles me how a sprint or open wheel fan would rather see bombers, mods, or stocks instead of minis or TQs as a support class, especially when a number of the big name drivers (Stewart, Wise, Leffler, Drake, Kruseman) and local stars (Welpott, Puterbaugh, Knoke, Sheffell, Franks) started in TQs...TQ97

I'm not a huge stock car fan (just a fan of some of the drivers like Dave Cook and Jeff Harris at the Burg) but, they are much better suited to the larger track and generally put on a better show (IMHO) than the mini's and TQ's. As far as a stepping stone to sprint cars? Any one of those you mentioned here could have gone straight from a WKA Briggs go-kart and succeeded in sprinters. They're race car drivers. It's also my "opinion" that a smaller track would give them much better driving experience than a track like L'Burg where they're flatout and simply steering them straight through the turns. You also asked why I chose to comment on this topic? It's because it affects my viewing experience at L'Burg, which is my home track. I'm simply stating my preferences on here for fans, drivers and promotors to see. Obviously, people are going to disagree with me and that is fine. As I've said several times on this site, this is a forum where people can express their opinions, both positive an negative.
