Open Wheel and short track fans have the opertunity a lot more than in Nascar or Indy to actually be among the drivers, teams and owners of their sport.
It's fun at the Burg and other tracks to sit among Kevin Briscoe, Dickie Gaines heck everybody when they have time. BC is great to talk to when he can but I don't go out of my way to bother them either. A lot of times its a Hi from them that instigates some conversation.
Everyone's a person and when fans forget that, The attitude should be expected.
