MILLER MASTER OF CEREMONIES FOR LITTLE 500 HALL OF FAME BANQUET
Anderson, IN - May 20, 2011 - Veteran motorsports voice, Mike Miller will be the Master of Ceremonies for the 2011 Little 500 Hall of Fame luncheon induction ceremony. The annual luncheon will be May 28, 2011 at Anderson Speedway and will induct seven inductees.
Miller, a former Anderson resident who now calls Lima, Ohio home, is no stranger to Little 500 activities. He has been involved with the Little 500 since 1996. Miller has saw his involvement with the Little 500 include various capacities including public address, radio and television broadcasts. This will be his first appearance as Master of Ceremonies for the Little 500 Hall of Fame induction.
Currently the host of Mike Miller and the Morning News on 1150 WIMA radio in Lima, Ohio. Mike is the track announcer for Limaland Motorsports Park, a 1/4-mile oval track facility owned and operated by the University of Northwestern Ohio. He is also currently co-host of a weekly television program following Ohio State football.
Miller has served as track announcer and Media Relations representative for the Madison County, Indiana based nationally touring ASA (American Speed Association) stock car series from 1996 through 2003. He has worked in numerous radio and television broadcast situations involving racing and most major sports since 1976. Miller has also written articles on news and sports subjects for print and internet based publications for more than 30 years.
The "Class of 2011" will be officially inducted into the Little 500 Hall of Fame during a luncheon held at Anderson Speedway on May 28, at 11 a.m. Race day. Inductees include: Bob Cleberg, Larry Dickson, Dick Good, Max Dowker, Jason McCord, Steve Remington, and Wayne Reutimann. Luncheon tickets can be purchased by calling (765) 288-4587.
