The majority of my racing usually adds $8-9.50 in toll to cross the Detroit River. I already do a lot of Mark's tips. I've always had the mentality that besides camera equipment I usually only speed money on going to races.
I have noticed that I am already using the National Speedway Directory iphone app to check out the "nearby" tracks. I hope to add a few relatively close, not yet visited tracks to my list of track chasing.
I've got a short story of the mentality I bring into going to races. In Canada we pay $4.54-5.01 a gallon. But I can also buy $60 USD for $58 Canadian due to the weak dollar.
It usually costs me $54 CAD to fill my wife's car in Canada. Last week for $58 I filled her car for $3.90 a gallon at duty free, paid toll and bought a quarter pounder combo for $58 CAD when I went to Toledo for a nice dry sunny afternoon at the racetrack!
My Saturday plan for practice at my hometrack has already rained out, so you guys aren't alone. Reading all the rained out threads this month is like groundhog day!
