You are right about the surface at Salem. And the surface is probably why they redid the infield before they repave the big track. It is phase 2 or 3 of Owen's plan.

Or would you rather they run all the heavy equipment across the new pavement?

American Racer only has to live up to what IT promises in its product. Car owners and others can claim and boast all they want, but the proof comes on race day.

Tire tests are fine and needed, but so is real life on track racing. AR got that at Salem. The tires came back looking bad but THEY CAME BACK. They didn't fail on the track (although I will NOT say they had anything left, especially LRs). LRs were tested at 15-18 psi, at Salem they were run at 10-12 psi. Is that a big difference? The results seem to say so.

Litt came from behind the inversion (6) to catch Pierce with 2 to go. His tires looked as bad as some of the others, but they were either good enough for him to move up, or he's crazy and must be stopped at the border next time.

Let's see what AR brings to Winchester. Or better yet, what they have left after Winchester.

Improvements? There's room...
