Let's wait and see what happens at Winchester. I believe the tires will hold up better there. I hate to say this, but the racing surface at Salem is absolute junk. I am surprised their insurance company still insures them. Not only is there no grip in the 42 year old surface, it is full of pot-holes and gaping cracks. Instead of wasting time and money fooling around with their new "short track", they should have dug the high-bank track up and put down fresh asphalt. JMO.
