I very much appreciate all the efforts put forth by the promoters, track owners and sanctioning bodies. Also the drivers, owners and their crews. I have to travel a fair amount to attend what I consider "real" sprint car racing and a "bad day at the track" is much better than no day at all. As far as the races being "an event" (as stated on other threads), I believe it is what you try to make it. If you want to show up at the last minute and get out as soon as you can I have no problem with that. But you can make a race an event by sharing the day with good friends, enjoying some good tailgate food and spending time getting to know new people – every race is an “event” for me!
