No they weren't Goodyears but American Racing Tires (ART). I wish Sam would have elaborated more on what exactly was the problem with the tires? In an earlier post this spring, Don Wilshe one of the MSXSS car owners among others, was very high on the ART and predicted that they would be able to get a couple of shows out of the right rear. He was predicting a cost savings over other tire brands even predicting that the tire got faster with increased laps on them.
I am not trying to start anything here, but what exactly happened? It seems a number of folks on here don't like Hoosier and others have their opinions on Goodyear. Is this a one time problem or will we continue to see excessive wear and blowouts? The next show is at another high banked, rough track in Winchester on Sunday May 15th for an afternoon show.
