Shuman and Coons both made some good points. We went and appreciated them putting the race on, but racing didn't start until 8:30 and we also couldn't figure out why they pushed each group out individually to wheel pack. Why did they even need to wheel pack that much? The place with the most needed wheel packing was at the bottom in turns 1 and 2. We had mentioned the same thing about the criticism USAC would have recieved if they had sanctioned that race. Twin Cities didn't seem to have any security in place at all. When you get that large of crowd together at a place where alcohol is being served there needs to be some form of security. Authorites didn't show up until they had to be called for the first fight under the grandstands. They were lucky authorites were still around when the second altercation occured. I wondered also what the drivers thought of the safety of the place, with the fence and such.
