thats funny that one of the best to ever race at champion eventually went on to become a sprint car driver after he lost his leg! If I am not mistaken they tried to have minisprints at champion years ago when jack promoted it. I think the idea of a track in that area for non wing micros is a great idea but who knows how long it would take to catch on. Paradise gets quite a few cars but I dont know how many guys would take the wings off. Kutztown gets decent car counts as well and they are wingless. The 1/8 mile is started already, god only knows when the bigger track will be built. We didnt talk much about cars although he talked me into riding a few speedway races on one of his bikes this season. I suppose your talking about Rocket Rodney Paine. He still rides his streetbikes to the races now and then. Champion is too small for minisprints, if they tried it there thats prop. why it failed.
