The last three ISW races were so dusty you could not see the cars, in fact people were trying to see which way the wind would blow so they would know which side of the track to sit .

July was my last trip to Tri-State. Having to sit through hours of track prep and still get a dusty track is not my idea of good racing or a good time.
I could not agree more. I go there often, but I also get tired of watching the tractors. The last time I was there I timed them just to see how long the tractors were actually on the track.

There were 210 minutes from the time the first car rolled onto the track for hot laps and the time they called the cars out for the feature. Of that 210 minutes, 75 minutes was spent watching the John Deere parade. Thats over 35% of the time spent watching track prep instead of racing!!! IMO that is too much time spent for the results obtained. By the way, I always check the wind direction on the NOAA website before leaving home to decide which side to sit on.
