In the footage, Mario caused the crash, when he ran into Bob Wente, blowing Wente's LR tire. Almost instantly, Hulse is there, and ran over Wente, and started the end over end flips.
Dad said he was the first one to reach Hulse's car, (and because of the times, he held his movie camera behind his back...figuring Hulse was hurt, or maybe even killed) As he got close, he said he could hear Chuck yelling "GET THIS SON OF A B1TCH OFF ME!"
I can't remember Dad ever having much good to say about Mario.......

Must have been a different car than the one he destroyed in 1&2 at Eldora, the day his helmet came off!

Chuck used to drive the Beck Construction car (yellow #10). I saw Chuck tumble that car at Terre Haute. Wasn't hurt that day but the car was on top of him. Was that the car he got hurt in at New Bremen?? The Beck team also had a red # 11. Stan Bowman drove it to a win, once (Eldora?). I seem to recall Bobby Unser drove it a few times, too??
