I'm also interested in what an "outsider" is too. Is Hornish eligible since he hasn't run IndyCar the last couple of years? Montoya? I'd hardly call them "outsiders" just because they haven't run them in the last few years. I need more details before I really have an opinion on it. I don't see anybody having a chance at it regardless. If they are going to throw it out there, I hope it truely does give different drivers a shot at a race. Could be interesting if done right.
