I spent the better part of a day at Kyle and Patty Petty's Victory Junction Gang Camp near Level Cross, North Carolina. I came away with a totally different outlook on some big name drivers who maybe aren't fan favorites but give of their time and money as freely as anyone around. There are whole buildings there that were fully funded by people some would consider unlikely doners.
If you're ever in the Randleman-Level Cross, North Carolina area stop in and look around a little. The folks who help run it are as accomodating as it is possible to be and you will come away with a renewed confidence in mankind, even if it only lasts 'till the next time someone flips you off on the freeway.
I'm not taking anything away from Tony Stewart but there are several who do just as much and do their best to stay out of the limelight.
