Well, It's officially friggin cold so you know what that means! Trapped inside with no Sprinters in site so I gotta turn my attention to some plastic. Have had this one on my "to-do" list for quite sometime, I'm finally gonna make it happen.

The build will be pretty much straight out of the box with only 1 aftermarket part (hood), some .030 sheet styrene and some 1/16" styrene rod for the extra chassis detail. The car started life as one of the older, mid to late 80's, Revell kits. I re-created the decals from some pics that I THINK Susan sent me or I found while lurking on the web.

On with the pictures....

1:1 car -

My re-created decal sheet. Picture isnt the best, but you get the idea.

Everything you see in white is custom cut and glued by hand. This picture only shows 1 side done at that point.

Chassis all assembled and painted black.

Engine complete minus air filters. The black thing you see at the oil pan is a clothes pin, should give ya a good idea of how small these 1/24 cars are. I kinda free-styled the engine as far as colors etc. Wont see it with the hood on anyway.

Long way top go yet. Waiting on the hood to get here from Australia, once I have that I can start working on the arm guard. Hope you guys don't mind me posting this stuff. Any questions or comments feel free to ask/post. I do these cars for my own use and satisfaction, to be put away in a display case. I DO NOT build cars commercially or for sale otherwise.
