TQ stands for three-quarter. As in 3/4s the size of a full midget. They use basically a mini sprint chassis (upright) and a motorcycle engine as a power plant. They still have direct drive gearboxes and need push started. They're pretty fun to watch on a small fairgrounds track. Google UMRA tq midgets.
