Russ, thanks for that link.

Bobby makes some valid points, especially about the drivers running other types of cars. I still say it's B.S. when I hear our sprint & midget hero's can't run rear engine cars. If you're a racer your a racer. Proof point would be Jeff Gordon & Tony Stewart. Both of them came from open wheel dirt/pavement oval track background, yet they've pretty much been the dominate force on road courses in NAPCAR stockers for many years now. And when Smoke ran the IRL when it 1st started he drove the wheels off those things. Cheever couldn't believe this kid sprintcar driver was kicking his azz at the Mickyard, but I could, as I saw Tony win at ELDORA and other places. I also remember Tony running his 1st IRL race at Phoenix. He came through the pack balls out, just like any old Saturday night USAC feature. The announcers were going crazy the way he was splitting traffic. But to Tony it was just another day at the office. He was just gassing it, as that's what he was supposed to do. Billy Boat was the same way at PIR. Yet the wine & cheese **** would have you think our guys can't possibly be better than them. Once again B.S.

I know they're talking about Clauson getting an Indy Lights ride next year on ovals because of his USAC Championship and that's great, but to me he should get a shot at the road races too. You can't tell me he wouldn't do good. The kids a racer! In fact he should have a ride at Indy for the 500 next year. If that happened I'd be sitting right next to Bob & Monica watching our hero when they throw the green! How cool would that be? And how many of you guys would be there too?

Anyway, INDYCAR has a long road ahead of them until they get me back as a paying fan. Although I do wish them well and hope it happens. Getting our hero's there would be a start.
