Sorry that I offended you somewhere along the way Jake. We've all made mistakes...but CROOKED is a pretty harsh word. Anderson was many years ago and we've all gotten wiser since then.

Just to clarify a few things on here...our hearts and souls were in this process of trying to turn Winchester around.

We busted our butts everyway possible to make money on the open wheel shows...because that is the only way CRA got paid to run the track. We desperately wanted the open wheel shows to succeed. The past 3 years we've talked with USAC about trying to have a midget show but they were reluctant because they were concerned about the car count. If you recall the midgets were on the schedule for Old Timers weekend in 2009 and USAC pulled the plug at the last second due to car count (that's when the winged cars had to replace them).

And 767 makes a great point about Greg Wood, he was the face, the arms and legs for CRA at the track and he was a big, big part of CRA's success at managing the track. I feel most sorry for him and the effort he has invested in the track.

Hey, no one has to like me personally, but I would hope people would respect the fact that we were able to bring a racetrack back from the dead. And had at least one USAC race scheduled each year (at least one year we had 3 scheduled). We finished our time at the track with the two most financially successful events Charlie has ever had (Labor Day and the Winchester 400 - over 200 race cars and a packed house 400 weekend). The success of those races is key to helping keep the track open...and running both stock cars and open wheel cars.

...in the end, I apologize to anyone I offended, but hold my head high over the successes we've had there.

I hope we can all just keep it positive going forward.
