American Sprint Car Tour Visits Ponderosa Speedway on Friday October 15
Junction City, KY- October 3, 2010- With the Fall Classic in the rear view mirror, Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Donnie Sullivan and family will take off this Friday October 8, but will return with a unique night of racing action on Friday October 15 as the American Sprint Car Tour will bring Sprint Car racing to “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” for the first time since 1995.
The American Sprint Car Tour will visit on Friday October 15 and bring a wide-open, sideways style of racing action, as the ASCT features the non-wing, full-size 410 Sprint Cars. Also on the Friday October 15 racing program will be the Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Front Wheel Drives.
Activities for the October 15 racing program will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed by practice at 7:15 p.m. Time trials will go around 7:45 p.m., with racing at 8:30 p.m.
Ponderosa Speedway is located just off of 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. Donnie and Angie Sullivan, along with their son Donnie, Jr., are the track promoters and will present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday evenings throughout the remainder of the 2010 race season. Looking forward to the track, so far I'm impressed with the Ky tracks, if this lives up to the talk it should be alot of fun, I sure enjoyed our first trip to Bardstowns Bluegrass Speedway that was really a nice track.
Really looking forward to meeting the Sullivan family also.
